Under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), Celil Çavuş (“Data Controller”, “we”) processes your personal data for the purposes and legal bases described below within the Celil Çavuş website, mobile applications and related digital services. Continued use of the site means you have read and understood this notice; separate consent is obtained where explicit consent is required.

2. Personal Data Processed

Identity and contact (name, surname, e-mail, phone, date of birth — as you provide); account, subscription and payment transaction data; transaction security (IP, session, device, browser, approximate location, logs); usage and preferences (reading history, search, clicks, language, notification settings); cookie and pixel data; marketing and explicit consent records; support and complaint correspondence; profile data you share via social or third-party sign-in (e.g. Google).

The Data Controller cannot be held liable for consequences of inaccurate or incomplete data you provide; you are obliged to supply correct information.

3. Purposes of Processing

Membership, authentication and contract performance; news and content delivery, personalization and recommendations; site security, abuse and fraud prevention; traffic, performance and error analysis; advertising and campaign measurement (with consent or legitimate interest); legal obligations, official requests and legal defence; archiving, backup and business continuity; commercial communications (with explicit consent); handling requests, complaints and content notices.

4. Legal Bases

KVKK Art. 5/2 (c) establishment or performance of a contract; (ç) legal obligation; (e) establishment, exercise or protection of a right; (f) legitimate interest — providing the service, security, logging, statistics, content recommendations, technical improvement and fraud prevention — provided fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed; explicit consent under Art. 5/1 and 6/2 (commercial messages, optional analytics/targeting cookies and special-category data where required).

In assessing legitimate interest we consider our business model, service security and user expectations; you may object with reasons.

5. Transfers of Personal Data

Data may be transferred to hosting, CDN, cloud, e-mail, SMS, payment, customer support, analytics and advertising providers (including Yandex.Metrica, Yandex Direct); group companies and business partners; auditors, lawyers and advisers; and competent authorities — where required by law or legitimate interest.

Cross-border transfers follow KVKK Art. 9, Board decisions and adequate safeguards/undertakings or your explicit consent. We are not liable for harm arising from third-party providers’ own policies absent our fault.

6. Method of Collection

Data is collected via forms, registration, cookies, pixels, SDKs, mobile apps, APIs, support channels and server/security logs, by automatic or partially automatic means. Visiting the site may result in processing of technically necessary data (e.g. IP, session).

7. Retention and Erasure

Data is retained for the period required by the processing purpose, statutes of limitation and minimum retention under tax, commercial, Law No. 5651 and other legislation; thereafter it is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.

Erasure requests may be deferred where legal obligations, disputes, security reviews or backup cycles apply; data is then access-restricted and kept only for necessary purposes.

8. Your Rights under KVKK Art. 11

You have the rights to learn whether data is processed; request information; learn purposes and compliance; know recipients; request correction; request erasure under Art. 7; object to automated analysis outcomes; and seek compensation for unlawful processing.

Exercising rights is subject to identity verification and legal compliance; abusive, repetitive or bad-faith requests may be refused.

9. How to Apply and Time Limits

Submit requests with identity verification to metagazzete (KEP), [email protected] or Büyükdere Caddesi, No:193, Kat:4, Levent, Beşiktaş, İstanbul. We respond within thirty days under KVKK Art. 13, extendable to sixty days where complex, free of charge or at the Board tariff where permitted.

Incomplete or unverifiable requests are not processed. Your right to complain to the Authority remains; we encourage contacting us first.

10. Changes to This Notice

This notice may be updated when services or law change; the current version takes effect on publication. Material changes may be announced on the site.

11. Security and Liability

Administrative and technical measures are applied; absolute security of transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, the Data Controller is not liable for indirect harm from force majeure, third-party attacks or user-caused breaches.

12. Sample Explicit Consent (Information)

The checkbox below is a sample explicit consent statement for marketing communications. On live forms, consent is collected via separate boxes in compliance with KVKK and applicable regulations.
