Man Charged After Painting Giant ‘Pam the Bird’ Graffiti on Melbourne Bridge

Police responded to a graffiti incident on a Melbourne bridge. A man was seen painting a giant cartoon bird on the structure. The artwork resembled the “Pam the Bird” symbol that has appeared around the city since 2023. Officers engaged in a standoff that lasted several hours. The suspect remained on a 140‑foot tower above the bridge. After negotiations, he descended from the tower. He surrendered to police without further incident. He was subsequently charged for the graffiti offense.
