Gmail rolls out AI-generated email summaries worldwide, with instructions to disable them

Gmail has introduced AI-generated summaries that condense email threads. The feature is now available to users in all supported regions. Summaries appear at the top of each conversation for quick reading. Google provides a setting to disable the AI summaries if desired. Users can access the toggle in Gmail’s settings under the “Smart Compose” section. Turning off the feature stops the automatic generation of summary text. The rollout follows earlier limited tests of the AI summarization tool. Google says the addition aims to improve email productivity worldwide.
