aircraft. The budget earmarks 2.1 billion reais for the
purchase. The spending is scheduled for 2026. The aircraft
in question are Saab Gripen jets. At the same time Saab
displayed the Gripen F two‑seat version in Sweden. This
model is the first of its kind worldwide. It was developed
to meet a specific requirement from the Brazilian Air Force.
The investment aims to modernize Brazil's air combat
capabilities.
