Bard College names Jonathan Becker, EVP and political studies professor, as acting president

Bard College announced that Jonathan Becker will serve as acting president. Becker currently holds the roles of executive vice president and professor of political studies. The appointment follows the departure of the previous president. Becker will assume full presidential responsibilities while a search continues. He brings extensive academic and administrative experience to the interim role. The college expects continuity in its strategic initiatives during the transition. Faculty and students were informed of the change through official communications. The board will evaluate long‑term leadership options later this year.
